A boil advisory that was issued for customers on LA Highway 16 north of Denham Springs in Watson has been lifted for repairs, according to Ward Two Water District officials. The boil advisory, which was issued Tuesday, was no longer in effect as of Thursday morning, officials said. In a statement, Ward Two Water District officials said the advisory was put in place as crews were making repairs to a broken water main. Florida deputies chased a slippery suspect after chasing a man who was covered in grease and peppermint oil in the middle of the night, police said. Volusia County deputies were called to a reported burglary in progress at a home in DeBary, Fla., around 2 a.m. Friday. They found 34-year-old suspect Blake Tokman had smashed the windows of one home, then left and broke into another home. Both homes were occupied during the attacks, deputies said. 2 teenagers arrested in connection with shooting that killed 12-year-old girl in Hartford

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Two teenagers were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 12-year-old girl in Hartford. Se’Cret Pierce of Hartford died as a result of the shooting that injured three others in Hartford on April 20. Reading the recent letter on extremism in today’s politics, I was moved to write to express the following thoughts from a historical perspective. Despite recent years, I think most rational people, except perhaps Barry Goldwater, who has considered the issue, would agree with the basic principle that extremism as a basis for government policy is undesirable.
