VERNON, Vermont – The man accused of killing his mother at sea during a New England fishing trip has died, officials announced Thursday. Nathan Carman, 29, of Vernon, Vermont, died “on or about June 15, 2023,” the Vermont U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed in a notice announcing the dismissal of an indictment accusing him of the death of his mother, Linda Carman. “The United States received information from the US Marshal that Carman died on or about June 15, 2023.
