Taste by Spellbound, an Avon bakery, caught up with the furry guest on May 24. according to a Facebook post. ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAW) – A 41-year-old Antigo man is in police custody and two children are safe, after a hostage situation Saturday night that ended early Sunday morning. Antigo Police Chief Dan Duly told NewsChannel 7 that police responded to a domestic dispute call at approximately 8:48 p.m. Saturday. When police responded, the man barricaded himself inside the home, with two young children, in the 700 block of Pierce Avenue. The man threatened to shoot the officers. Authorities in Marlow say there were no injuries or fatalities after seven train cars carrying grain, flour and dirt derailed Sunday afternoon. Marlow Fire Chief Jason Miller said the cars at the back of the train derailed around 12:30 a.m. near East Memorial Drive and North Railroad Street in Stephens County. Miller said there were no hazardous materials on board. Miller said it’s a Union Pacific train and the company has crews on the way to investigate what caused the derailment and remove the cars. The singer-songwriter says he will conclude his residency in July 2024 with his 150th lifetime performance at the venue. “It’s hard to believe we’ve been able to do this for 10 years,” Joel said at a news conference Thursday. “I am now 74 years old.
