ODF Type 3 and 2 helicopters are also in the area and have been making water drops. Cleaning work will begin shortly.<\/p>\n
\ud835\udde8\ud835\udde0\ud835\uddd4\ud835\uddd4\ud835\udde7\ud835\uddd8, 2:\ud835\udff10 \ud835\udde3\ud835\udde0: Firefighters were on their way to the lower Rogue River community of Marial Monday afternoon, where a fire was confirmed to be burning heavy timber.<\/p>\n
According to a 2:50 p.m. update on the Oregon Department of Forestry’s Southwest District Facebook page, its Type 3 and Type 2 helicopters had arrived at the Rogue River Ranch Fire.<\/p>\n
From the air, it was estimated to be a 10th of an acre burning in heavy wood.<\/p>\n
Numerous resources continued to advance towards the fire, including several engines, a water tender, excavator, helicopters and a Helitack crew.<\/p>\n
Douglas Forest Protective Association and Coos Forest Protective Association were also sending resources, including CFPA’s Type 3 helicopter and Helitack crew.<\/p>\n
