This pregnancy definitely feels very different; I have a better understanding of what happens to the body during pregnancy and what wait: I feel so much calmer and more relaxed I think most second time moms will agree that your second pregnancy doesn’t feel as overwhelming or scary.

“I’m taking it one day at a time and trying to enjoy being pregnant as much as I can. That being said, you think you know what your pregnancy and birth will be like, but you never know until you’re there, every pregnancy it’s so unique

The story continues

“As for my return to fitness after giving birth, I’m not focusing on that right now, but of course I’ll be working closely with my doctors and getting back into exercise to slowly recover and get my strength back.” .

As for the backlash she received for posting pictures that some of her followers said suggested she had “bounced back” too quickly after giving birth to her first child, she says she doesn’t want anyone to compare her travels with their

“I think it’s important to remember that every woman’s body, pregnancy and postpartum journey is very different. As women, it’s so easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves to other women and their journeys, especially when it’s about pregnancy. I always tell my clients and women who use my programs that it’s about accepting where you are. Although it can be difficult at times, there’s no point in comparing yourself to anyone else who you see on Instagram, including myself, because your body and your pregnancy and postpartum journey are unique to you.

“I’ve been sharing my life and workouts with my community on social media for over 10 years, and as a personal trainer, for me movement is an important part of my life and will always be an important part of my pregnancy and postpartum journey My excitement in sharing how I’m moving my body throughout the different stages of my pregnancy and postpartum journey is to show women that exercise can be a great way to help you to regain strength and take care of your physical and mental health during all phases of your life. life.

To that end, as Kayla goes on to explain exactly how she’s working out during pregnancy, be aware that what she’s doing may not be right for you.

She tells us: “Right now, I’m still trying to be active and move my body when I can. I’m just taking each day as it comes, listening to my body and resting when I need to rest. I’ve stopped jumping exercises, ab workoutssprint training and jumpingbut I’m still training fairly consistently as I feel strong and focused strength training and light cardio workouts. Right now, I’m trying out some of my new workouts pregnancy program which will be released in September, and I’m especially enjoying the high rep weight training. I also love my walks, I try to climb the steps as much as I can every day”.

If you are also pregnant, remember that no two days are the same.

“The biggest thing my first pregnancy taught me about prenatal training is that it’s really important to listen to your body and be in tune with how you feel,” says Kayla.

“When you’re pregnant every day is different, so it’s important to be flexible with yourself and listen to what your body is telling you to help you adjust your training. During my first pregnancy I had morning sickness and nausea until about 26 weeks, and I didn’t have the energy to move my body as much as I thought I would. On my second pregnancy, luckily the nausea stopped around week 9 and I’ve been feeling pretty good since then. I just take it day by day and do some movement or my workouts when I’m ready to do it.”

WH is so happy for you both, Kayla!

Maybe you like it too

[ad_2]

Source link

Photo credit: Sam Pearce Just over a week after the announcement your commitment to Jae Woodroffe’s partner, WH cover star and sweat Co-founder Kayla Itsines has more exciting news: she’s expecting her second child in early 2023.
