The PM Newsdesk Minutes: How to stay cool this week, Whistler shooting kills 2<\/strong><\/p>\n Mariners win after All-Stars losing streak<\/strong><\/p>\n The Mariners are back to winning ways after a post-All-Star slump.<\/p>\n Seattle beat the Texas Rangers 4-3 after coming off the All-Star Game with a three-game losing streak.<\/p>\n A tournament is tonight at 7 and you can hear it on our sister station Seattle Sports 710 AM.<\/p>\n Tacoma home shooting injuries 1<\/strong><\/p>\n Possible gang activity is behind a shooting in Tacoma over the weekend that sent a 44-year-old woman to the hospital.<\/p>\n Police say more than 40 bullets were fired into the home where she was hit.<\/p>\n Sergeant Darren Moss tells KIRO 7 TV the shooting happened in the 1700 block of South 36th Street.<\/p>\n Tacoma police have not confirmed a motive for Saturday’s shooting or whether it was related to a local gang.<\/p>\n The woman’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.<\/p>\n Alderwood Waste Facility Creates Toxic Workplace<\/strong><\/p>\n Alderwood Water and Wastewater District employees say a toxic work environment and poor management are taking a toll on their mental and physical health.<\/p>\n The Everett Herald reports that employees have filed complaints against CEO Dick McKinley, including a worker who claimed retaliation for cooperating with previous investigations against him.<\/p>\n A Herald records request shows more emails related to McKinley’s management.<\/p>\n McKinley, who has held the position for nearly two years, has declined to comment on the allegations.<\/p>\n His contract will end in September.<\/p>\n Board President Paul McIntyre says the board “has investigated and will continue to investigate” claims of misconduct.<\/p>\n “Levy to Move Seattle” keeps sidewalk residents moving <\/strong><\/p>\n The Seattle Department of Transportation wants to highlight its sidewalk safety repair program.<\/p>\n It’s part of the voter-approved “Levy to Move Seattle.” “<\/p>\n SDOT’s Elsa Tibbits says they have completed over 1000 sidewalk repairs this year, all on budget.<\/p>\n Tibbits says SDOT is on track to meet its “Levy to Move Seattle” goals.<\/p>\n “Levy to Move Seattle” was voted on by residents in 2015.<\/p>\n Microsoft’s earnings report is out today<\/strong><\/p>\n Economic observers will be watching Microsoft’s earnings report this afternoon, Tuesday, July 26th.<\/p>\n Geekwire reports that Wall Street is particularly interested in the Azure cloud portion of Microsoft’s offerings.<\/p>\n Specifically, they expect Azure growth to be over 40%.<\/p>\n This would be considered a good sign for the technology sector.<\/p>\n Other tech-related quarterly results coming this week include Amazon, Apple and Google.<\/p>\n Listen to KIRO Newsradio on 97.3 FM.
