Police say woman called 911 before shooting Clayton officer, who had been shot by APD <\/span>Police say the woman called 911 saying she wanted to hurt herself, but shot the first officer who arrived to help. <\/span><\/p>\n Clayton County, Ga. – Both a Clayton County officer and a suspect are in critical condition after two shootings involved overnight, according to police.<\/p>\n According to Clayton County Police, 25-year-old Aiyanah Pryor called 911 saying she killed herself at 9:40 p.m. on Newbury Drive. Pryor’s mother called 911 shortly after 10 p.m., and Pryor called again at 11 p.m.<\/p>\n Moments after Officer Demika Lloyd arrived on the scene, police say Pryor pulled out a gun and shot Officer Lloyd twice. <\/p>\n Other officers found the injured officer in the yard with multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she is currently in surgery, but remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n Channel 2’s Darryn Moore is live from Grady Memorial Hospital. Get the latest details on Channel 2 Action News this morning from 4:30 to 7 a.m. m<\/p>\n Clayton County Police say Pryor got into a black Jeep and drove north on I-75 into the city of Atlanta.<\/p>\n Atlanta officers received a call of a car matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle that was spotted on Macon Dr. and Polar Rock Rd. SW. As officers approached the car, the suspect fired at least one shot, and APD officers returned fire, hitting her several times.<\/p>\n The suspect was also taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n No Atlanta police officers were injured in this second officer-involved shooting.<\/p>\n TRENDING STORIES:<\/p>\n The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is currently at the scene on Newbury Drive and is working to learn more details about the initial shooting.<\/p>\n Neither the Clayton County officer nor the suspect’s identities have been released.<\/p>\n
