\tThe “Breaking Bad” team of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman (Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, respectively) were honored Friday by the city where they were rolling the blue meth in one of television’s biggest dramas. The city unveiled bronze statues of the television characters at the Albuquerque Convention Center. <\/p>\n

\tThe statues show Walt holding his Heisenberg hat at his side, standing next to Jesse.<\/p>\n
\n
\tThe presentation was attended by both actors, along with Dean Norris, series creator Vince Gilligan and Better Call Saul cast members Rhea Seehorn, Michael Mando and Patrick Fabian. Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould was also there. <\/p>\n

\tThe \u00a3500 statues were created by sculptor Trevor Grove and donated by Sony Pictures Television, which produced the AMC<\/a> drama<\/p>\n \n \tGilligan said a small wax statue of Walt created by Grove was the catalyst for the bronze renditions. “It was so surprising that it made me think,” he said. “What if Trevor could sculpt a life-size version of Walter White in bronze, a new medium for him, and if he could cast Jesse Pinkman to start, and then we give the two statues to the city of Albuquerque as thanks for your hospitality?”<\/p>\n \n \tHe also noted, “Seriously, some people will say, ‘Wow, just what our city needed.’ I understand that. But let me tell you what I see when I look at these two pieces of art: I see two of the greatest actors America has ever produced. I see them in character as two larger-than-life tragic figures, cautionary tales, world-renowned.”<\/p>\n
