An Apopka man avoided injury when a Chevy Suburban crashed into the back of his tractor-trailer on Interstate 4 in Seminole County this morning while sitting in traffic. Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash that killed the driver of the Suburban.<\/p>\n
According to the FHP incident report, at approximately 6:45 a.m., a tractor-trailer driven by a 38-year-old Apopka man stopped on eastbound Interstate 4 just off the east of CR-46A, for traffic ahead.<\/p>\n
At the same time, a Chevy Suburban driven by a 36-year-old Orlando man was traveling eastbound on Interstate 4 and failed to observe stopped traffic ahead.<\/p>\n
The left front of the Suburban struck the right rear of the tractor-trailer. The driver of the Suburban was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor driver did not report any injuries to the FHP.<\/p>\n
Eastbound Interstate 4 was closed until 9:54 a.m. for the fatal crash investigation.<\/p>\n
The FHP did not release the names of the two drivers involved in the collision.<\/p>\n
