A transfer move from Man City is brilliant news for West Ham in their bid to sign speedy left-back Borna Sosa.<\/p>\n
Both West Ham and Manchester City are pushing to sign a left-back this summer.<\/p>\n
The Hammers have missed out on a number of purported targets, including David Raum and Destiny Udogie, while Marc Cucurella was lost to Manchester City by Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Pep Guardiola and David Moyes have been linked with a mutual interest in Croatian left-back Borna Sosa at Stuttgart.<\/p>\n
It has been claimed this morning that West Ham are leading Man City in the race to sign Sosa.<\/p>\n
According to the Croatian publication index<\/a>the Hammers are in pole position to sign Sosa ahead of Manchester City.<\/p>\n Given the obvious appeal of joining the defending Premier League champions, this story simply doesn’t sit well with West Ham fans who are well aware of the club’s place on the football food chain.<\/p>\n But now a transfer switch from Man City is certainly brilliant news for West Ham in their bid to sign Sosa.<\/p>\n Because the likes of Sky Sports<\/a> they say City have moved to try and sign Borussia Dortmund left-back Raphael Guerreiro.<\/p>\n “Manchester City keen on Borussia Dortmund left-back Raphael Guerreiro”. Sky Sports<\/a> reports as breaking news this afternoon.<\/p>\n \u201cThe 28-year-old Portugal international is one of several potential first-team options the club are looking at.<\/p>\n “A source has told Sky Sports News that Stuttgart’s Borna Sosa is also on City’s shortlist. But another source has indicated that he is not currently under consideration.<\/p>\n “City are also closing in on the signing of Anderlecht left-back Sergio G\u00f3mez. Talks are at an advanced stage, but City have yet to submit their formal offer to the Belgian club.”<\/p>\n If Moyes is indeed pushing to sign Sosa, this is fantastic news for West Ham.<\/p>\n With Man City out of the picture, the way seems clear for the Hammers to try to get a deal done with Stuttgart for the 24-year-old.<\/p>\n It is claimed that Stuttgart are already looking for a replacement and will sell Sosa for around \u00a317m.<\/p>\n The Croatia international is a top left-back and can also operate as a left-back. <\/p>\n Sosa would be a serious upgrade from Aaron Cresswell and is incredibly fast.<\/p>\nPhoto by JUSTIN TALLIS\/AFP via Getty Images<\/p>\n
