LAKE WALES, Fla. – A man wanted after four people were killed inside a Lake Wales apartment has died following a police standoff in Sanford.<\/p>\n

Police in Lake Wales have confirmed the death of a man wanted after the deaths of a mother and her three children.<\/p>\n

Al Stenson, 38, of Lake Wales died after an officer-involved shooting at a Sanford motel, police said.<\/p>\n

Police have released updated information on the four deaths and the search for 38-year-old Al Stenson.<\/p>\n

Lake Wales Police said:<\/p>\n

Officers have located Stenson and are actively working to arrest him. Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging Stenson with four counts of first-degree murder. Stenson murdered the woman and her three children around 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. Stenson shot the victims and then left his apartment. family members discovered the bodies Tuesday night and called police at 8:51 p.m. Among the victims are two adults and two minors. The police still do not know the reason for the murders. The suspect knew that the victims.<\/p>\n

Four people were killed in an apparent shooting incident Tuesday night in Lake Wales, police said.<\/p>\n

Just before 9 p.m., officers with the Lake Wales Police Department responded to a medical call along Dawnlight Drive at Sunrise Park Apartments.<\/p>\n

At the scene, they discovered three adults and a child dead inside an apartment.<\/p>\n

Investigators determined the bodies were those of a woman and her three children, two of whom were adults.<\/p>\n

They added that Stenson may be injured and may live in the apartment where the family members were discovered.<\/p>\n
