class=\"embed__video-duration\">02:51<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It was a terrifying sight for a great-aunt as she struggled to get back on her feet to prevent a pram carrying her nephew from plunging into high-speed traffic in the northeastern city of Hesperia on Monday from Los Angeles. <span class=\"link\">CBS Los Angeles reports<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>But Ron Nessman was sitting on a bench outside a nearby car wash when he saw the woman, in her sixties, fall several times as she tried to pick up the baby&#8217;s stroller. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You see the kid out on the street and that&#8217;s all he sees,&#8221; Nessman said.  &#8220;She can&#8217;t do anything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nessman rushed out of her pew and intercepted the stroller, saving the baby before the strong desert winds pushed it into the path of speeding cars. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I saw her and I felt really bad for the lady,&#8221; Nessman said.  &#8220;I have nephews and nieces and I couldn&#8217;t imagine something like this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nessman, a former truck driver trying to rebuild his life, recently moved to Hesperia to reconnect with his family after a sudden and tragic heartbreak left him homeless. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;My girlfriend died in 2018,&#8221; he said.  &#8220;It was sudden and I didn&#8217;t want to do anything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hessman had just finished a job interview when he sprung into action.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I couldn&#8217;t live with myself, I didn&#8217;t do anything,&#8221; Nessman said.  &#8220;I&#8217;m glad I noticed it and was there.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Nessman and her family
