Four people have been arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion of Houston Astros player Jose Altuve in March, police announced Friday.<\/p>\n
The robbery happened on March 30, police said, which was the team’s opening day.<\/p>\n
Three men and a woman have been charged with crimes in the “burglary of the residence of Jose Altuve,” the Houston Police Department said on social media, as it released booking photos of the suspects.<\/p>\n

His bond was set Friday at $200,000.<\/p>\n Maxey’s attorney, Edward Jointer, told ABC News that his client “maintains not guilty.”<\/p>\n “At this point it’s too early to comment on the merits of the case,” Jointer said.<\/p>\n Tarniella and Jones’ complaint alleges they entered the second baseman’s home “with the intent to commit a robbery.” They have been detained since their arrest last month.<\/p>\n Tarniella’s attorney, Cheryl Chapell, told ABC News they are still awaiting discovery and have no comment at this time.<\/p>\n Jones has also been charged with evading arrest after he allegedly fled by car and on foot from an officer who was trying to arrest him on April 13, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n Jasmyn Hall, 20, the fourth person arrested in connection with the robbery case, has also been charged with evading arrest and hindering apprehension for allegedly helping Jones escape on April 13, according to her charges .<\/p>\n ABC News did not immediately receive a response from his lawyers.<\/p>\n Two of the suspects, Jones and Maxey, were previously convicted of burglary of a habitation, according to their complaints.<\/p>\n The Hedwig Village Police Department assisted in Altuve’s robbery case, Houston police said.<\/p>\n A spokesman for the Houston Astros declined to comment as it was a “personal matter.”<\/p>\n Altuve did not play in the Astros’ first game after breaking his thumb in the World Baseball Classic in March. He resumed some baseball activities this week, although it is unclear when he would return to the team.<\/p>\n He was an eight-time All-Star and 2017 AL MVP. He is also a two-time World Series champion.<\/p>\n
