APOLLO, Pa. (KDKA) — A candidate’s past is being brought into a political campaign just days before the primary election. <\/p>\n
Twenty downtown Apollo businesses received a handlebar envelope filled with racy photos of township supervisor candidate Brittany Hilliard.<\/p>\n
When employees came to work Tuesday morning, they found the envelopes taped to their doors.<\/p>\n
“Everybody has a past,” Hilliard said. <\/p>\n
He has found himself in an awkward position. She has to defend herself just days before the primary election after someone leaked scandalous photos of her. <\/p>\n
“It was unnecessary and it didn’t have to come out like this,” Hilliard said. <\/p>\n
Apollo police are looking for the person responsible for distributing packages at 3 a.m. that included racy photos from Hilliard’s Only Fans page.<\/p>\n
Only Fans is a subscription-based app where users pay to view images, videos and live streams. <\/p>\n
“We needed money. And now I’m running a campaign and I’m not doing it anymore,” Hilliard said. <\/p>\n
Hilliard calls exit voters “dirty politics.” He says his past and the future of Kiski Township have nothing to do.<\/p>\n
Hilliard believes whoever is behind this “political stunt” will stop at nothing to silence her.<\/p>\n
“I really think there are bigger issues in the township that they don’t want me to find out and they’re afraid I’m doing really well in my campaign and they’re afraid they won’t get re-elected,” he said. said <\/p>\n
KDKA-TV spoke with many of the business owners who received Hilliard’s photos, and they tell us they were appalled not by the nature of the photos, but that someone could be so cruel.<\/p>\n
Voter Amy Gasparro said he shouldn’t be in office, because it “shows what era of the person they are.”<\/p>\n
