Philadelphia Department of Prisons via AP<\/span><\/p>\n The second inmate, Nasir Grant, 24, was arrested by U.S. Marshals on May 11, police said.<\/p>\n Grant had disguised himself as a woman and was wearing “full female Muslim garb and a head covering” when he was caught, said Robert Clark, supervising deputy marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n The Philadelphia Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Office participated in the search for the two inmates.<\/p>\n The two men were discovered missing from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center during a staff count on the afternoon of May 8, according to Philadelphia Prisons Commissioner Blanche Carney. They had escaped through the fence the night before, but were mistakenly counted during three subsequent counts, according to Carney.<\/p>\n Two inmates escaped from the Industrial Correctional Center in Philadelphia, authorities said.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n WPVI<\/span><\/p>\n Hurst had initially been brought into the facility in March 2021 on multiple murder charges, while Grant had been in custody since September 2022 on charges including criminal conspiracy, narcotics and firearms violations.<\/p>\n Two people have been arrested in connection with his escape, police said.
