Tina Turner, one of the most successful and iconic entertainers in the world, died Wednesday at the age of 83<\/span>. The “Queen of Rock n’ Roll”, whose career spanned decades, had amassed generations of fans, and musicians, actors and politicians rushed to post tributes after news of her death.<\/p>\n Actress Angela Bassett, who played Turner in the 1993 biopic “What’s Love Got To Do With It,” wrote on Instagram: “Tina Turner showed others living in fear what a beautiful future full of love and compassion and freedom. His last words to me, to me, were, “You have never imitated me. Instead, you dug deep into your soul, found your inner Tina, and showed it to the world.”<\/p>\n “She was powerful.
