St. ALBANS, Queens (WABC) — <\/span>Police are investigating a double shooting in Queens that took place Saturday night, leaving one dead and another injured.<\/p>\n Around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call about a person who had been shot inside a residence on Pineville Lane in Saint Albans.<\/p>\n Upon arrival, police found two victims who had been shot multiple times.<\/p>\n Julie P. was washing dishes when she heard the shots. He looked out the window and saw a group of people in the kitchen next door looking down, possibly one of the bodies.<\/p>\n “I was scared, because I’m looking at them, and I’m scared if a bullet hits me. They were right in front of me,” Julie said.<\/p>\n Police say two people were shot multiple times inside the home; the suspect was his own uncle, police believe. Chevaughn Millings, 25, was pronounced dead. A 20-year-old woman who was shot survived.<\/p>\n Police say an argument over cooking could be the motive for the shooting.<\/p>\n The violence in what appears to be a quiet residential neighborhood has only grown, neighbors say, and the crime scene tape is all too familiar. They say they can’t help but remember another deadly shooting that happened a block away.<\/p>\n “A corrections officer got shot around the corner,” Cavita Lewis said.<\/p>\n John Jeff, a 28-year-old corrections officer, was killed in August 2020 after leaving a neighborhood party.
