President of ABC News Kim Godwin<\/strong> announced the news Wednesday morning in a memo to staff. Brower will direct all aspects of this week and report directly to Godwin.<\/p>\n He fills the hole left by the sudden death of the former executive producer Dax Tejera<\/strong>who died of a heart attack last December, just weeks short of his 38th birthday.<\/p>\n While at CNN for nearly seven years, Brower led a team of writers and digital editors as managing editor of CNN Politics and before that was a senior producer at CNN, working hand-in-hand with correspondents and showrunners who they cover Washington, campaigns and elections.<\/p>\n Prior to his time at CNN, Brower spent 11 years at MSNBC as an executive producer of Chuck Todd<\/strong>‘s Daily Rundown and Meet the Press Daily, as well as a producer on Hardball.<\/p>\n Brooke Brower<\/p>\n On that same note, Godwin also announced this Kendall Heath<\/strong> has been promoted to executive producer of politics for ABC News. Heath most recently served as this week’s interim executive producer. In this new role, he will work closely with the program and platform units on creative and compelling political narratives and series.<\/p>\n He will report to ABC News svp and executive editor Deshishku station<\/strong>and during the election season, he will also report to the political director Rick Klein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Heath has almost 20 years of experience covering breaking news and politics. She first joined ABC News as a segment producer for Good Morning America, then moved to This Week as an editorial producer booking guests for the show.
