<\/strong>A 24-year-old Rogers man will spend time in prison for breaking into a mosque in St.  Cloud and vandalize it.<\/p>\n<p>According to Stearns County court documents, Logan Smith was sentenced to 180 days of local confinement in the county jail.  The lockdown will be escalated in 60-day increments.  His first stint in prison will begin on June 19.  He will also report to prison in November and next June. <\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED: <span class=\"link\">2 charged after the Islamic Center of St.  Cloud was vandalized;  second mosque raid this week in minnesota<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Smith also received a 39-month prison sentence, but it has been stayed for 10 years as long as he remains law-abiding during his probation. <\/p>\n<p>Police say they arrived at the mosque around 4 a.m. on Sept. 8, 2022, after an employee had arrived for work and found the building damaged.<\/p>\n<p>The documents say security footage showed two suspects entering the mosque around 1 a.m.  At the scene, officers found a hole in the ceiling, a damaged leather chair, bloody paper towels and scattered papers.  A piece of paper with Arabic writing had a suspect&#8217;s initials written in blood.<\/p>\n<p>They also found a hotel key card at the scene.  Officers went to the hotel, where they found Smith, along with Victoria Catalina Veliz.
