Toledo police arrested a 16- and 17-year-old boy early Tuesday after officers took them out of an east Toledo home.<\/p>\n

TOLEDO, Ohio – A Toledo teenager allegedly pointed a gun at a police officer who confronted a pair of suspects inside a vacant home in east Toledo Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

Toledo Police<\/a> arrested a 16- and 17-year-old after they left the house on Magyar Street shortly before 1:30 am. <\/p>\n

Officers were called to the home after reports that someone had broken windows and entered the home. When police arrived and checked the perimeter, an officer spotted a suspect looking through the broken window, according to a TPD report.<\/p>\n

“The suspect observed Officer Rust, then pulled out a handgun and pointed the weapon at Officer Rust before immediately retreating further into the house,” the report said.<\/p>\n

Officers then heard the suspects walk up the stairs inside the home, police said.<\/p>\n

Police then repeatedly ordered the couple out of the house. The suspects replied that they would leave. When they got out, the two were taken into custody without incident, according to the report.<\/p>\n

Officers searched the house after arresting the teenagers. They found the house empty, but recovered a firearm upstairs, police said.<\/p>\n

An investigation into the incident by Toledo police detectives is ongoing, police said.<\/p>\n
