WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. – A moose was euthanized by environmental authorities after it trespassed on property at Bradley International Airport on Friday. <\/p>\n
DEEP officials said they received a report of an antelope being seen near the airport. Police and DEEP Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Wildlife Division personnel went to the scene.<\/p>\n
The moose was on property in the vicinity of the airport and had breached an exterior perimeter fence. Out of an abundance of caution, to protect the airport environment and vehicles on Route 20, EnCon’s Division of Police and Wildlife made the decision to euthanize the moose. <\/p>\n
