BOSTON – A Green Line trolley carrying more than two dozen passengers derailed in Boston Monday afternoon, officials said.<\/p>\n
The Green Line B trolley derailed between Blandford and Washington streets near Packard’s Corner around 1:40 p.m., according to the MBTA.<\/p>\n
There were about 30 passengers on board at the time of the derailment. They all managed to get off the train safely.<\/p>\n

Live updates at 5 and 6 @boston25<\/a> pic.twitter.com\/SK8Xfz0xiw<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Litsa Pappas (@LitsaPappas) June 12, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n Video from the scene showed several police officers at the scene as officials inspected the cart.<\/p>\n Commuters are being rerouted to the Route 57 bus for service between Kenmore and Packard’s Corner as the T announced that shuttle buses will replace service between those areas for the remainder of the evening.<\/p>\n MBTA General Manager Phil Eng says the center wheels of the two-car trolley came off the tracks during today’s derailment on the Green Line in Allston.<\/p>\n “The distance between the rails was not where it should have been,” Eng said Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n Green B Line Branch Update: Shuttle buses will continue to replace service between Kenmore and Washington Street until the end of service tonight. The aim is to resume service in the morning.
