The overall record right now between the two programs is 62-62-8. However, the Gophers are currently on a two-game winning streak. With the rivalry heating up lately, so has the recruiting game. Today, it was reported that a four-star offensive lineman from the Milwaukee area committed to the Golden Gophers. <\/p>\n
On June 17, coach PJ Fleck and his staff made a splash by landing a top recruit in Wisconsin. Nathan Roy, a 6-5, 275-pound, four-star offensive tackle from Mukwonago, Wis., announced on Twitter<\/a> who has committed to Minnesota to be part of their 2024 recruiting class. Roy committed while taking his official visit to the Gophers this weekend.<\/p>\n Roy is ranked as the No. 1 player in Wisconsin and the No. 13 ranked offensive tackle nationally in the 247Sports composite rankings of major recruiting services. He is the highest-ranked player in the 2024 class to commit to Minnesota.<\/p>\n A star high school athlete from the state of Minnesota committing to play college sports for the Wisconsin Badgers is all too common. However, a Wisconsin native heading west to play for the Gophers is not that common. But the Gophers struck gold with four-star offensive lineman Nathan Roy committing on Saturday.<\/p>\n Roy also received offers from football powerhouses Ohio State, USC, Wisconsin, Tennessee and more.<\/p>\n \tThis is an amazing compromise for many reasons<\/h3>\n
