RALEIGH, NC — NC State freshman catcher\/designated hitter Cannon Peebles has entered the NCAA transfer portal after a sensational freshman campaign for the Pack9 last season. <\/p>\n
Peebles leads NC State with a .352 batting average along with a .456 OPS while hitting 12 homers, serving as the Wolfpack’s designated hitter as Jacob Cozart was the team’s leading catcher all season.<\/p>\n
Peebles, named to the ACC All-Freshman Team, tied for first on the team with 50 RBIs and posted a stellar .348 batting average and .742 slugging percentage during the ACC game. Peebles was also appointed as a Collegiate Baseball and Golden Spikes Player of the Week in early March after a 6-6, 10 RBI day against NJIT.
