BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn (WABC) — <\/span>Two people were shot outside a Brooklyn sneaker store Friday, leaving a bullet-riddled scene in a normally quiet neighborhood.<\/p>\n The shooting happened around 4:15 pm outside the PluggedIn Sneaker Boutique located at 9413 Fifth Avenue in Bay Ridge.<\/p>\n “It’s a very popular sneaker store. I think they were waiting for a sneaker release. And then it was chaos,” said a witness named Jared.<\/p>\n Witnesses tell Eyewitness News reporter Sonia Rincon that the victims were in a bullet-riddled dark gray Hyundai Sonata. They had just been picked up from the shoe store and someone who had been driving around the block in a white Mercedes seemed to be targeting someone.<\/p>\n “Out of nowhere, gunshots go off, I heard like six shots, one after the other,” Jared said. “And I saw a guy coming from that corner, he ran to the car and started shooting. A girl came out and she was like screaming, ‘help me, help me’.”<\/p>\n A young woman collapsed in front of the store after being shot in the leg. Police say he is 21 years old. A witness ran and made a tourniquet.<\/p>\n The second victim was a 24-year-old man who was shot in the arm.<\/p>\n “I didn’t even see him, he ran down the block and got shot in the arm, no one knew and he came back like 10 minutes later,” Jared said.<\/p>\n They were taken to Langone Hospital in Brooklyn in stable condition and are expected to survive.<\/p>\n A crime scene littered with carcasses is not a typical sight at 4:30pm on Fifth Avenue.<\/p>\n “Normally Bay Ridge is a nice area, it’s very safe. I’ve been here my whole life,” said witness Joan Kornichuk.<\/p>\n Store owners told Eyewitness News that their security guard did his best to protect other customers. They lowered the door and immediately closed for the day.<\/p>\n They say their cameras weren’t recording, but other cameras in the area were, and detectives are reviewing lots of footage, looking for at least one suspect.<\/p>\n Authorities describe the suspect as a man wearing a light blue tracksuit.
