We quickly isolated the patients and then initiated universal masking in the affected unit in accordance with infection control protocols,&#8221; says the statement.  &#8220;We continue to monitor this situation closely and will adjust this plan in the future as necessary, and have notified the cluster to the Department of Public Health and the Boston Public Health Commission.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 rQkyc body-paragraph\">Major hospitals lifted their mask mandates in May after the end of the Covid-19 health emergency.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 rQkyc body-paragraph\">This uprising came after the federal and state public health emergency for COVID-19 ended on May 11.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 rQkyc body-paragraph\">In April, a group of local doctors called on Gov. Maura Healey to maintain mandatory mask requirements.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-tl066j-0 rQkyc body-paragraph\">This is a developing story.
