ORLANDO, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 Whether you choose to resign or are ousted by newly elected school boards, superintendent turnover continues to grow among Florida school districts.<\/p>\n

After three years leading Volusia County Schools, Scott Fritz was fired by the school board last year in a 3-2 vote.<\/p>\n

Fritz, who is now the CEO of the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County, joined anchor Justin Warmoth on “The Weekly” to talk about what he thinks is happening in districts across the state.<\/p>\n

“I think we need to check politics at the door,” he said. “I was reading that 61 out of 67 superintendents have been replaced in the last three years for one reason or another. Clearly something is wrong.”<\/p>\n

Fritz also discussed the importance of making sure children are ready for kindergarten and why it is crucial to their overall success later in life.<\/p>\n
