STOUGHTON, Mass. \u2014 Concern is growing for a missing woman in Stoughton. <\/p>\n
Emma Tetewsky, 31, who has a history of mental health issues, was last seen Monday night by Pinewood Pond off Lakewood Drive. Her family last saw her on Sunday, police said. <\/p>\n
“We are concerned for his health and well-being,” Stoughton Police Chief Donna McNamara said. “He is known to go for walks frequently, he does not have a mobile phone and he has no money at the moment. We are concerned that he has not eaten or drunk water since the last confirmed time on Sunday evening.”<\/p>\n
Chief McNamara says officers have stepped up their search to expand to several cities. <\/p>\n
Tetewsky is known to frequent Pinewood Pond in Stoughton and Lake Massapoag in Sharon and on Wednesday, police received a tip that he may have been in that area.<\/p>\n
Police have been searching by air, with helicopters and drones, as well as with K9s and boats with sonar.<\/p>\n
“In addition, we have searched wooded areas with ATVs in this location adjacent to this waterway, we also scoured the trails from Massapoag to Sharon with K9s and foot patrols with officers and ATVs in this area,” said Chief McNamara, while was next to Pinewood Pond Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Police described Tetewsky as approximately 5-feet-3-inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds. He may be wearing a light-colored, possibly blue, long-sleeved shirt, cropped leggings, and Birkenstock-style sandals.<\/p>\n
Police believe she is still in the area because she has no money and no car, so they hope residents in Stoughton, Sharon, Easton and Canton will be on the lookout for her, especially if they live near the lakes.<\/p>\n
Residents and businesses in both areas are asked to check any camera footage they may have for any Tetewsky sightings between Sunday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Residents of the area are also asked to check their sheds or outbuildings.<\/p>\n
“If you live near any waterways, check under any canoes or rafts you may have, if you have an outbuilding, under a shed, under a porch, anywhere he can seek shelter,” Chief McNamara said.<\/p>\n
At this time, police do not believe Emma’s disappearance is suspicious, but she does tend to wander, so if you see her, keep an eye out for her and call 911 immediately.<\/p>\n
