NATURAL BRIDGE, Va.<\/strong> – One man has died after a single motorcycle accident on the Blue Ridge Parkway on Saturday, according to the National Park Service.<\/p>\n

Officials said it happened near mile marker 74, south of the James River.<\/p>\n

National Park Service rangers and area first responders responded to a report around 12:57 p.m. of the crash and arrived at the scene to find Christopher Graves, 35, of Amherst, dead as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident.<\/p>\n

We’re told the initial investigation indicates Graves left the roadway on a sharp curve, got off his motorcycle and hit his head on a large nearby rock.<\/p>\n

Officials say Graves was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and no additional details are available at this time.<\/p>\n
