President Biden is facing backlash from conservatives after a report that aides have said publicly that he has only six grandchildren, omitting estranged daughter Hunter Biden, 4.<\/p>\n

The president’s son, Hunter Biden, settled his child support case in Arkansas last week, ending a years-long paternity dispute over his 4-year-old daughter, whom both the president and first lady they refuse to recognize as their seventh grandchild.<\/p>\n

Announced in a court filing Thursday, Hunter agreed to give her daughter some of his paintings, and the child’s mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts, agreed to drop her counterclaim to change her son’s last name to “Biden.”<\/p>\n

The New York Times published a damning report on Saturday saying the family feud is rooted in “money, corrosive politics and what it means to have a Biden birthright.”<\/p>\n

White House aides have been told during strategy meetings that the president and first lady Jill Biden have six grandchildren, not seven, two people familiar with the discussions told the newspaper.<\/p>\n

In April, Biden listed six of his grandchildren by name during a “take your child to work” event at the White House.<\/p>\n

“I have six grandchildren, and I’m crazy about them. And I talk to them every day. It’s not a joke,” he said at the time.<\/p>\n

Biden has also placed Christmas stockings at the White House for six of the grandchildren, but has repeatedly left his seventh grandchild out of the annual tradition.<\/p>\n

But as Biden seeks re-election in 2024 and as speculation mounts about Hunter’s foreign dealings, the president has decided to more publicly embrace his son, Hunter, and grandson, Beau, by taking them to Camp David over the past two weekends. a row<\/p>\n

Last month, the Justice Department announced that the president’s son had entered into a plea deal on two tax violations and a weapons charge, which will likely keep him out of prison. <\/p>\n

Conservatives on Twitter called the Times report’s claims that the Bidens shun their granddaughter “gross” and “sad.”<\/p>\n
