Barger, 33, is charged with second-degree murder, burglary, involuntary manslaughter and fourth-degree assault.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On Saturday shortly after 9 p.m., officers arrived at a home in the 9400 block of Brayton Drive on a report of an assault.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Barger is accused of forcing his way into a home and physically assaulting a man and woman who lived there, police said.  The two victims were taken to the hospital where the man died.  The woman suffered minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Barger is accused of fleeing the scene before being located by officers who responded to the 9700 block of Vanguard Drive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was arrested around 10:32 p.m. without incident.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Barger was taken to the Anchorage Police Department where he was questioned by detectives and later booked into the Anchorage Jail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The motive remains under investigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2023 KTUU.
