“It’s special to be able to create something that stays with people for their entire lives,” he explains, picking up his tool to touch up his latest project: a massive tattoo of rapper Takeoff.<\/p>\n
Someone shot and killed the rapper last November in Houston, Texas.<\/p>\n
He left an everlasting impact, Outlaw says, saying the Migos member helped make trap music mainstream.<\/p>\n
And so he was inspired to draw, and then inscribe, a tattoo of the Gwinnett County native.<\/p>\n
“I just want people to reflect on him as a person and his legacy to music and to the city,” Outlaw adds, his instrument bubbling.<\/p>\n

Its canvas is a sheet of silicone, a so-called synthetic skin that artists use to practice their craft and plan their designs.<\/p>\n
It is such a large sheet that it has now attracted the attention of the Guinness Book of World Records.<\/p>\n
A representative will measure the fabric this week to confirm it is the world’s largest tattoo.<\/p>\n

Even getting it through the door of the Grant Park studio, where it’s been a labor of love for the past six months, will be difficult. <\/p>\n
“Seeing it when we got it up and took the pictures, and you get an idea of \u200b\u200bhow big it is, that’s when you start to feel the emotions coming out of it. Like, wow,” says Outlaw, putting the finishing touches to the tribute<\/p>\n
As for what will happen to the possibly record-breaking piece of art, Outlaw has been in contact with a few art galleries, but nothing has been finalized yet.<\/p>\n
