One woman was killed and nine others were injured after a firework exploded at a home Monday night, police said.<\/p>\n

The explosion occurred at a home in Park Township, Michigan, near the intersection of Main Street and N. 160th Avenue, at approximately 11 p.m., according to reports. ABC News’ Grand Rapids affiliate station WZZM<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It’s unclear whether the explosion was caused by a manufacturing defect or user error, but an Ottowa County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant said WZZM<\/a> at the scene that a 43-year-old woman had died in the crash in Holland, Michigan, which is about 30 miles west of Grand Rapids and is on the east side of Lake Michigan.<\/p>\n

Nine others were injured in the blast and taken to hospital with victims in condition ranging from minor to critical, the Ottowa County Sheriff’s Office said. WZZM<\/a>.<\/p>\n
