COWETA COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities are investigating a shooting at a manufacturing plant in Coweta County.<\/p>\n
Coweta County Sheriff’s officials told Channel 2 Action News shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday, deputies received reports of an employee being shot by another employee at a business on Dart Road.<\/p>\n
We have a crew en route to the scene and will provide an update to Channel 2 Action News at noon.<\/p>\n

Newnan police confirmed the business was the Global Powertrain plant.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they were told the shooter was barricaded somewhere in the building.<\/p>\n
An employee told the Channel 2 newsroom that the building was evacuated and they are still waiting to get back inside.<\/p>\n
Officers were later informed that the shooter may have fled the scene on a motorcycle.<\/p>\n

A short time later, a Newnan police officer reported that they were following a motorcycle matching the description.<\/p>\n
The driver abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot until the officer caught them.<\/p>\n
The victim was taken to an Atlanta hospital, where his condition has not been released.<\/p>\n
