 person interested in custody<\/span><\/p>\n<p>          <span class=\"embed__video-duration\">03:00<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Annapolis &#8211; Police charged a man Monday in a weekend shooting that killed three men and wounded three others in Maryland&#8217;s capital, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Robert Smith, a 45-year-old Annapolis man, was charged with three counts of second-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder, three counts of first-degree assault and other offenses, the chief of Annapolis police Edward Jackson told reporters at a media conference.  He said Smith, who lives on the street where the shooting occurred, used a handgun and a long gun. <\/p>\n<p>Smith surrendered to police peacefully, Jackson said.  He was ordered held without bail. <\/p>\n<p>Three people were killed and three others were wounded in a shooting Sunday night at a home in Maryland&#8217;s capital, police said.  The victims who died, aged 25, 27 and 55, included a father and son.  All surviving victims are expected to survive.<\/p>\n<p>Annapolis Police Chief Edward Jackson told reporters at a media conference that the shooting stemmed from what he described as an &#8220;interpersonal dispute&#8221; and that there was no further threat to the public.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a very active and fluid investigation. We&#8217;re still trying to determine everything that happened. We&#8217;re still doing it together. We have a lot more work to do,&#8221; Jackson said. <\/p>\n<p>He declined to elaborate on the relationship between the people involved, but said the people killed were between 20 and 50 years old. This can happen anywhere and nothing is solved by the use of guns.&#8221; <span class=\"link\">CBS Baltimore reports<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re in a middle-class neighborhood in Annapolis, Maryland,&#8221; Buckley said.  &#8220;Tonight is an example, once again, of senseless violence, people trying to solve problems with guns. It&#8217;s the most ridiculous thing we can do as a society. We have to do things to stop it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Numerous police cars were seen in the residential area where the shooting took place south of downtown and near the waterfront.
