State police are searching for a man wanted for an alleged carjacking this morning in Blairsville, Indiana County.<\/p>\n
It is unknown if this is a random or targeted act of violence <\/p>\n
The keys were left in the vehicle before the suspect stole it<\/p>\n
\u2014 Andrew Havranek \ud83d\udcfa (@Andrew_Havranek) July 12, 2023<\/a> <\/p>\n Trooper Tristan Tappe told Channel 11 that a 64-year-old woman was in an altercation with a man around 6:10 a.m. when he tried to carjack her. Tappe said the suspect had a weapon, but did not say what kind.<\/p>\n The woman works at an assisted living center.<\/p>\n The suspect had a wounded arm and was bleeding, Tappe said.<\/p>\n The woman suffered “some degree” lacerations and is in an area hospital. State police say they don’t know if it was a random or targeted act of violence.<\/p>\n From there, the suspect either abandoned the woman’s car or fled, Tappe said.<\/p>\n He then tried to enter several companies, but most were unsuccessful.<\/p>\n Police say he broke into Kettle Dad Barbecue and stole some items. Tappe then says the suspect went to Taylor’s Trucking, where he stole a brown 2003 Ford F250 with Pennsylvania license plate XLE-1209.<\/p>\n The keys were left in the vehicle when the suspect stole it, the trooper said.<\/p>\n He was last seen around 6:38 a.m. traveling southbound on Route 217 past Hitchman’s Supply in Derry Township.<\/p>\n The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
