The crash happened around 5:45 p.m. near Barton Road and Douglas Boulevard.  The California Highway Patrol says the crash involved a red Jeep and a black Escalade.  According to officials, they believe the Jeep entered the intersection at a red light and then proceeded to strike the Escalade, causing the Jeep to overturn.  The 15-year-old rear passenger of the Jeep suffered life-threatening injuries and two others in the vehicle, a 16-year-old driver and a 16-year-old female front seat passenger, were transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center.  with minor injuries.  The lone occupant of the Escalade, a 17-year-old driver, did not report any injuries.
