VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) – A man’s body was recovered from the Sheyenne River along the 1000 block of Riverview Drive in Valley City on Monday, July 17th. Emergency responders received the call for service around 12:08 p.m.<\/p>\n

Valley City Police Chief Phil Hatcher said at this time we are unable to identify the remains and are seeking the public’s help.<\/p>\n

The man is described as a white male, 30 to 40 years old, short dark hair, beard, 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, weighing 200 pounds. The man was wearing only jeans blues and socks<\/p>\n

He said foul play is not suspected, the body will be sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy.<\/p>\n

Hatcher said anyone with information on the identity of this man is asked to call the Valley City Police Department at 701-845-3110.<\/p>\n
