KNOX, Pa. (EIT)<\/strong> \u2013 Knox Raceway is closing its doors immediately.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, July 18, Knox Raceway publicly announced its closure via its Facebook page.<\/p>\n

All scheduled events remaining in 2023 are cancelled.<\/p>\n

Owner Brian Steinman confirmed to exploreClarion.com Monday morning that “poor local turnout is the reason for the closing.”<\/p>\n

The closing comes just two days after the venue’s country concert weekend featuring Eddie Montgomery and David Lee Murphy.<\/p>\n

Knox Raceway, formerly Sportsman’s Speedway, is a 3\/8 mile oval dirt track.<\/p>\n

The campsite will remain open, according to its Facebook post.<\/p>\n
