BLACKSBURG, Va.<\/strong> – Political pundits are weighing in on how former President Donald Trump is now at the center of another potential impeachment.<\/p>\n

NBC news<\/a> reports that Trump confirmed that a grand jury in Washington DC is investigating him over the January 6 uprising.<\/p>\n

Virginia Tech political science professor Dr. Karen Hult says the allegations have brought more media attention to the former president, who is seeking another term.<\/p>\n

“That’s what he seems to be doing, drawing the attention of the media and others away from his campaign, his ideas and his positioning, to the extent that the air leaves the room when everyone is focuses on the former president. Trump,” Hult said.<\/p>\n

NBC News reports that it is the second grand jury that could indict Trump. The first was a Miami-based panel that indicted him over his handling of classified documents.<\/p>\n
