JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating after one man was killed and another was seriously injured in a shooting on Lane Avenue South.<\/p>\n

According to JSO, officers were dispatched to the area around 1:50 a.m. Thursday and found an unidentified victim dead in a parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n
Another victim was also located and taken to a local hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds and is undergoing surgery. The two victims were men in their 20s.<\/p>\n
Detectives are currently working to determine what led to the shooting, but believe the victims knew each other. It is unclear whether one or both men opened fire.<\/p>\n

The shooting is believed to have taken place in the parking lot of an apartment complex behind a shopping center. Shell casings were also found in the mall.<\/p>\n
Detectives are currently interviewing witnesses at the apartment complex and a nearby bar to get more details<\/p>\n
