(Cory Morse | MLive.com)<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"article__mm-image-credit\">Cory Morse |  MLive.com<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"SZ7HM4NJUBCNHOV4BMKXGPX6MY\">The governor also signed a handful of bills this week that passed before the legislature left for summer recess.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"LFN6A7MCSVDJBPLVWD2QDIKMZM\">\ud83c\udf78 Takeout cocktails, which helped keep bars and restaurants afloat during the COVID-19 closures, are now permanently legal.<\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;After three years, it&#8217;s proven to be a popular new way for customers to support their favorite restaurants and has resulted in zero reported violations or safety issues,&#8221; said Sen. the report states.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"QUIEGP5AZJFJNGFSXTDTXSWBD4\">But because the lawyers are not directly cited in the report, and after commissioners voted to remove their discussion of ethics from the agenda, Szetela alleged she had been silenced.<\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;I think there is a cover-up to protect Commissioner Eid from his own behavior and bad decisions,&#8221; Szetela said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"2HWLFUZBNFHWFO74UZ3H7XIHQA\">Some members came to her defense and others called her airing of complaints inappropriate and embarrassing.<\/p>\n<p><span>The leadership denied a cover-up, and Eid told MLive about the report, &#8220;I think this document speaks for itself.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"XGVSDXAOAJBM7ING25FSBN7LE4\">\ud83e\uddc5 Peel back more layers: Alleged &#8216;cover-up&#8217; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"VPUPJ3BSGBGJ7NFZ74CIEQCDSY\">But the agency soon deleted the post &#8220;out of respect&#8221; for female MSP members, it gave as its only explanation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"S5EEOXPJ2FBM7LTHWYY5A2URXM\">\ud83d\udc69 Governor Whitmer&#8217;s Barbie tweets, however, were widely praised:<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"XOZCS7ZBRJCPPDYILIZI75WPTY\">\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f &#8220;We hope this campaign helps show people that yes, girls can embrace who they are and do what girls do best: lead,&#8221;
