(WBKO) &#8211; The Bowling Green Police Department is actively investigating a homicide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">On Sunday at 10:09 p.m., the Bowling Green Police Department responded to Muse Bowling Green, 1799 Russellville Road for an assault in progress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officers arrived and located the victim, 21-year-old Ayanna Morgan, suffering from a gunshot wound.  Ms. Morgan was transported to an area hospital and then airlifted to a trauma center in Nashville where she died early this morning.  Police believe the victim was involved in a brief fight before she was shot.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Advanced crime scene processors and detectives were called to the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Detectives are working to locate any surveillance video and speak with residents who may help identify a suspect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">If you have information, contact the Bowling Green Police Department at 270-393-4000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">We&#8217;ll update this story as more information is released.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2023 WBKO.
