Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert for a missing 15-month-old Georgia girl who is believed to have been abducted by her father.<\/p>\n
According to the alert, known as Levi’s Call in Georgia, the minor was said to be in “extreme danger” after she was allegedly kidnapped by 22-year-old Calvin Johnson on Sunday morning. Around 4 p.m., the boy was located, while the father remains at large, Warner Robins police wrote in a news release.<\/p>\n
“The child has been recovered safe and unharmed,” the statement said.<\/p>\n
Around 5:40 a.m., police received a call about a child abduction and learned that the father had taken the girl after an unsupervised visit. Police said the mother located them at a gas station on Watson Boulevard. But after seeing her, Johnson allegedly approached her vehicle with a gun in his hand, police said.<\/p>\n
The mother drove away and Johnson drove off with the boy in a silver 2003 Jeep Liberty, which was last seen driving east on Watson Boulevard, authorities said. The vehicle registration number is CSX5096.<\/p>\n
The GBI said it helped Warner Robins police activate the alert, which was issued around 10 a.m. Police did not say how or where the girl was.<\/p>\n
Calvin Johnson is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 140 pounds, officials said. Anyone with more information about the father’s whereabouts or the vehicle is asked to call police at 478-302-5380.<\/p>\n
