Police identified the victim of a fatal shooting on Jefferson Avenue in Bristol Friday morning. Leonaldo Encarnación, 27, died after being wounded in a shooting near 99 Jefferson Avenue at 3 a.m. on Aug. 5, according to the Bristol Police Department. Encarnación was taken to a local hospital for treatment and later died at the hospital, police said. Police described the shooting as an isolated incident and said there did not appear to be any danger to the public. Police are seeking information about the shooting.
