Shuttle buses are replacing service between Wonderland Station and Orient Heights Station due to a disabled train near Suffolk Downs Station. The outage occurred after a piece of metal fell. (Updated 9.30pm) Ireland’s four courts at the courthouse caught fire after a car crashed into them around dinnertime on Friday. The fire has already been extinguished after a two-alarm response from the fire department. Photos from the scene show the longtime local bar charred, with a car completely inside the restaurant after the crash. An earlier photo shows flames shooting from the front of the pub as police rush to the scene and an injured person is lifted by several people on the pavement. New cases of COVID-19 in Jackson and Josephine counties trended down over the past week, mirroring a general trend for the state. The Oregon Health Authority reported 310 new cases in Jackson County over the past week, with a daily average of 44.3 cases. The previous week, the daily average was 57.3 cases. The OHA reported 137 new cases of COVID-19 in Josephine County over the past week, with a daily average of 19.6 cases. The daily average of the previous week was 27.6 cases.
