UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) — A grand jury is expected to decide whether Marine – Daniel Penny, 24, will face criminal charges in the death of Jordan Neely, 30, aboard a subway train. Among the considerations, did Neely pose a threat to the safety of other passengers and did Penny use excessive force when she allegedly held Neely in that hold for about 15 minutes? AUSTIN – Attorney General Ken Paxton threatened members of the Texas House with political retribution if they supported his impeachment, a lawmaker said during a hearing Saturday. While making the case against Paxton, Rep. Charlie Geren, R-Fort Worth, revealed that Paxton had contacted members of the House in the days leading up to the impeachment hearing. CHICAGO — At least 21 people have been shot, four dead, in shootings in Chicago so far this Memorial Day weekend. A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side. It happened around 11:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of North Ridgeway Avenue, according to Chicago police. The man, believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
