UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) — A grand jury is expected to decide whether Marine – Daniel Penny, 24, will face criminal charges in the death of Jordan Neely, 30, aboard a subway train. Among the considerations, did Neely pose a threat to the safety of other passengers and did Penny use excessive force when she allegedly held Neely in that hold for about 15 minutes? The story sparked protests this weekend that descended on the Lexington Avenue/63rd Street station and on the tracks, forcing trains to stop. CHICAGO — At least 21 people have been shot, four dead, in shootings in Chicago so far this Memorial Day weekend. A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
