Multi-car crash causes heavy traffic delays on I-79 – WPXI
FRANKLIN PARK, Pa. — A multi-vehicle car crash was causing major traffic delays on a busy local interstate. According to PennDOT, the crash was located on I-79 southbound at exit 72 (I-279). Allegheny County 911 told Channel 11 the crash happened at 10:21 a.m. Authorities said no one was taken to the hospital as a result of the crash at this time. Traffic cameras showed both left lanes with heavy emergency crew activity and traffic directed to one lane. Traffic cameras also show traffic backed up to mile marker 73.9 on Mingo Road.
