ROCHESTER, Pa. – At least four people, including firefighters, are injured as crews continue to battle a massive wildfire in Beaver County.
Two buildings are on fire and one has partially collapsed in the 100 block of Brighton Avenue in Rochester.

A man lived on the second floor of the building and police said he and his two dogs were rescued. That man was taken to a hospital with chest pains and his dogs were taken to the Humane Society.
Three firefighters with shoulder and leg injuries have also been transferred to a hospital.

Rochester Deputy Fire Chief Mike Mamone said the fire started in an apartment and then spread to an antique store and other parts of the buildings.
Mamone said crews are using a county drone so they can better see where the water is most effective. They have also brought tankers to supply additional water.
“Because the building is so big and there is so much fire, we only need so much water to put it out. We only have tanker operations that were actually carrying water from the river,” Mamone said.
Beaver County Emergency Services said Brighton Avenue will be closed for an extended period of time. The northbound Route 65 ramps are also closed.
