(ABC 6 News) – The Rochester Police Department responded to Cook Park on a report of a dead person Wednesday morning. RPD said a park staff member discovered a body while clearing a homeless encampment at the park, located at 722 7th St. NW in Rochester just after 9:00 am. RPD is working with the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the person and determine the cause and manner of death. This is an ongoing investigation. BOSTON – Using emergency lights to get an elected official through traffic has been an acceptable practice for Boston police for decades, according to former BPD Chief Superintendent Dan Linskey. However, the practice is outside of BPD policy and procedure, Linskey said. Rule 302 in the Boston Police Rules and Procedures it deals with emergency driving, but there is no section that states when a public official or other dignitary is in the vehicle. “It’s not in our policies and procedures. The co-owner of a Long Island funeral home chain was charged Wednesday with assault on a law enforcement officer and other felonies for his actions during riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the federal prosecutors Peter G. Moloney, 58, of Bayport, co-owner of Moloney Family Funeral Homes, was arrested Wednesday and is expected to make his first court appearance later in the day in federal court in Central Islip. Chris Licht has stepped down as CEO of CNN, the parent company of the global news network said Wednesday. CNN “will conduct an extensive internal and external search for a new leader,” David Zaslav, CEO of CNN parent Warner Bros., told staff. Discovery, in a memo sent Wednesday. MANCHESTER, NH – Jurors have begun deliberating in the gun trial of Harmony Montgomery’s father, Adam Montgomery, accused of stealing and trying to sell two guns in the fall of 2019. Harmony Montgomery’s stepmother, Kayla Montgomery, testified Monday, telling the court how her husband, Adam Montgomery, stole, possessed, retained and tried to sell a shotgun and an AR-15. CNN — Senegal’s foreign ministry announced Tuesday it will temporarily close its consulates abroad amid heightened political tensions that have fueled attacks on its diplomatic missions in Paris, Bordeaux, Milan and New York.
